I've always been passionate about meeting people from all kinds of backgrounds and learning about their stories and experiences. Because of this, I joined TEDxNortheasternU to help provide a unique platform to connect the many communities within Northeastern.
What is a fun fact about you?
I've lived in six countries, on four continents!
I love the idea of bringing people together from all different backgrounds and uniting for a common purpose - to learn and grow. I think TEDxNortheasternU's goal of getting everyone in the Northeastern community to come together and learn from each other is really inspiring and I can't wait to be part of it! Also, I love watching TED videos so being able to replicate the TED experience here really made me want to join this team.
What is your spirit animal?
I'd probably be a dolphin because I love the water and the ocean and they just seem like happy creatures.
I joined TEDxNortheasternU because of the amazing opportunities and possibilities for growth that come from the stories told by TED speakers.
What is a fun fact about you?
A fun fact about me is that I am half Turkish and half Colombian!
Seeing that immediate impact of how really cool and important ideas can permeate and in turn inspire individuals to do even more amazing things, and having a role in increasing the bandwidth of that impact in my community is something that has really impassioned me.
What is a fun fact about you?
I used to model for an agency in Boston, and when on a shoot for a company I saw a hunched over Al Horford trying to discretely sneak into the practice facility wearing a bright red sweater with two men on either side of him in all of his 6'10" glory. Happy to say his failure in being secret gave me one of the coolest memories I've ever had!
I never knew much about TEDx coming into college, but over these years in university, I've come to appreciate how a 15-minute lecture can make even some of the most elaborate concepts fully accessible and engaging to viewers of all interests and backgrounds; on the the team here at Northeastern, we're passionate about making the ideas and research of our peers equally available to all.
If you were famous, what would it be for?
Building giant robots. not because i want to be famous, i just think it would be cool to get to build giant robots.
I joined TEDxNortheasternU because I believe in the power that students have in sharing their ideas and wanted to help organize a event where they have the means to do so. Through the interdisciplinary approach that TEDx takes, every listener can find inspiration by listening to their peers.
What is a fun fact about you?
I was bit by a monkey when I was less than a year old.
I’ve always been interested and entertained by TED Talks and I wanted the opportunity to contribute to a large scale/high impact event here on Northeastern’s campus!
What is a fun fact about you?
I once won an 80s dance contest in front of a crowd of ~13,000 people. I hadn’t danced before and I haven’t danced since.
TEDx enables people from all different backgrounds to share knowledge and spread their messages to others. I always loved watching TED talks, and always wished to be a part of a team with such a vision!

I’ve been to 33 countries.
TED talks have made a huge impact on me growing up and it's amazing seeing TEDxNortheasternU bring together students from multidisciplinary backgrounds to share their stories and spread their ideas. I wanted to be part of a team that helps bring this experience to Northeastern.
What is a fun fact about you?
If I weren't studying business right now, I would have pursued a career in fine arts as a painter!

I have been watching TEDx videos on YouTube since I was in middle school! They have been instrumental in my growth, both professionally and personally, by providing captivating perspectives on topics I am interested and unfamiliar with. Through the broadcasting of stories about people that I go to school with and people that I share a community with, TEDxNortheasternU provides such an eye-opening and thought-provoking experience that I decided I did not just want to sit and listen, but I wanted to be a part of the larger mission that TEDx has. My goal is to work behind the scenes of the action to encourage others in the community to take part in this influential experience.
What is a fun fact about you?
I have eaten lunch on an erupting volcano!
I wanted to surround myself with people who are motivated, dedicated, and passionate about giving people a voice to share their story. Learning about each speaker’s experience and how it has shaped their view of the world is so inspiring and has made me more open-minded as a person. I wanted to be a part of an organization that encourages people to feel inspired and motivated to make a difference.
